CSR, or Social Value, is about businesses positively impacting people and places. That could mean staff volunteering, sharing skills, donating to local projects, or supporting charities and community groups. We want to focus on the value this creates for communities and businesses, so we call it Social Value.
What is Corporate Social Responsibility – and why are we calling it Social Value?
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is about businesses making a positive impact on people and places. That could mean staff volunteering, sharing skills, donating to local projects, sponsorship of a local community based sports team, or supporting charities and community groups.
We want to focus on the value this creates for communities and businesses, which is why we refer to it as Social Value. This is about doing good in a way that also makes sense for your business. We’ll help you find simple, meaningful ways to get involved.
Why it's worth it
Getting involved in Social Value can help your business:
We can help you think about which Social Value option is right for your business
We can share examples of how other businesses have taken on a “Corporate Social Responsibility” role
We can connect you with local not-for-profit groups and Charities in your area that you might be interested in working with
You don’t need a big budget or a full strategy - just a willingness to do something helpful. And our team can support you.
