Kirklees Council will be at the UK’s leading real estate, regeneration and infrastructure investment events next month, actively promoting a strong pipeline of development and investment opportunities to developers, institutional investors and long‑term funding partners.
The UK Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) takes place in Leeds between 19 and 21 May and brings together the public and private sector to unlock growth and investment opportunities across the UK.
The event attracts thousands of developers, investors, fund managers and delivery partners from the UK and internationally. It offers Kirklees the chance to engage directly with those looking to deploy capital, form partnerships and invest in high‑quality commercial, residential and mixed‑use development in a well‑connected northern location.
Through our presence at UKREiiF, we will be positioning Kirklees as a compelling destination for investment, highlighting investable sites, clear development ambitions and a proactive approach to working with partners to deliver sustainable growth.
What we are showcasing
Alongside investment opportunities in local developments, we’ll also be showcasing the amazing large-scale transformational projects already underway – or coming up soon – across Kirklees.
This includes large-scale infrastructure and regeneration programmes such as the Transpennine Route Upgrade, the town transformation in Huddersfield, regeneration and heritage renewal in Dewsury, the Station to Stadium Enterprise Corridor, and a range of employment and industrial sites with capacity for growth.
We will also be opening discussions with potential development partners for the 7-acre Gasworks Street site, a strategically located opportunity that will deliver advanced manufacturing and R&D space linked to health and life sciences, supported by strong regional connectivity and innovation assets.

How we are involved
The event will feature speakers, panel discussions and networking opportunities for investors and developers. Across all of this, we’ll be showcasing Kirklees’ strengths and connecting with professionals.
David Shepherd, Executive Director for Place said:
“UKREiiF gives us the platform to showcase our regeneration projects and why our borough is an ideal place for investors and businesses.
We have major investment plans across Kirklees and are guided by long-term town centre blueprints that set out the changes we want to see over the next decade and beyond, from new housing and cultural spaces to better transport and green public areas.
We already see some of the regeneration projects gathering pace such as Our Cultural Heart, Dewsbury Arcade and the George Hotel shaping how our town centres are going to look.
Kirklees is home to cutting-edge engineering, advanced manufacturing and textiles industries – all benefitting from our exceptional northern connectivity. By investing in our proud heritage, supporting innovation and enabling high-quality development, we are creating the conditions for long-term inclusive growth and delivering opportunities for investors and development partners to help shape the next chapter of the borough.”
